In March 2018 Pinch Black was founded by Burkhard and his daughter Laura, while they took part in different musical projects. Pinch Black was planned to be just a side project, but quickly evolved into their main musical mission. After the release of the first sings, that should later become the "Voices of Hell" EP Janine joined the band on guitar in late 2018. In the same years the EP was released. In 2019 the band worked on several videos and the first album. The recording sessions for the "Exorcism" album started in October 2019. In that year the band was also joined by Micha on Bass. The recordings for the album were finished in February 2020 and the release followed in March. In the same year the band was completed by Rafael on Drums and Stephan who replaced Micha on Bass.

But it quickly became apparent that it was more than just a project. After the release of the first songs, which were later to appear on the EP "Voices from Hell", Janine (Git) joined the band at the end of 2018. In the same year the EP "Voices from Hell" was released.

In 2019 the band worked on numerous videos and releases as well as on the first album. The recordings for the "Exorcism" album started in October 2019. Micha (bass) also joined the band that year. The recordings for the album were finalized in February 2020 and published on March 1, 2020. The band was completed in the same year by Rafael (drums) and Stephan (bass) who replaced Micha.
